2 c. flour
3 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
1/3 c. oil
2/3 c. milk
Heat oven to 475 degrees.
Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
Pour oil and milk into cup, do not mix.
Pour all of milk/oil into bowl with dry ingredients. Stir with fork until well blended and dough
comes away from sides of bowl. For drop
biscuits, drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes.
Jam Gems
Heat oven to 475 degrees.
Make biscuit dough above, but add 2 T. sugar. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Make a small indentation into the top of each biscuit and fill
with ½ t. jam. Bake 8-12 minutes. While warm, drizzle with thin icing.
