Nut Biscuits

 

2 c. flour

½ c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans

1 T. baking powder

½ t. salt

½ c. butter or margarine

½ c. milk

 

Heat over to 450 degrees.  Lightly grease baking sheet.  In medium bowl, combine four, nuts, baking powder and salt.  With pastry blender, cut butter into flour mixture.  Stir in milk until mixture form a stiff dough.  Turn dough out onto floured surface and pat to a ½ inch thickness.  With floured 1 ½ inch round cookie cutter, cut out dough and place 1 “ apart on cookie sheet.  Prick each biscuit several times with the times of a fork.  Bake 12-15 minutes.
