Jumbo Chocolate Chunk Cookies

2 ¼ c. flour

½ c. cocoa powder

1 t. baking soda

½ t. salt

1 c. unsalted butter, room temperature

¾ c. granulated sugar

¾ c. brown sugar

2 t. vanilla

2 eggs

1 bag mega size semisweet chocolate morsels, chips, or pieces

1 ½ c. chopped walnuts or pecans

Heat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, beat the butter with a mixer on med-high speed until creamy, about 1 minute. Add the sugars and beat until fluffy, about 2 minutes. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in the vanilla until well blended. On low speed, beat in the dry ingredients until blended. Stir in the chocolate pieces. For each cookie, drop by heaping tablespoonful of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake 9-11 minutes. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet about 2 minutes, transfer to wire rack.
