½ c. shortening
¾ c. sugar
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
2 2/3 c. flour
½ t. salt
¼ t. baking powder
¼ t. baking soda
½ c. sour cream
1 ¼ c. chopped nuts
Preheat oven 400 degrees.
In large bowl, combine shorening, sugar, egg an vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Add sour cream alternately. Shape into 1 ¼
inch ball. Roll in nuts. Place 1’ apart on cookie sheet. Press thumb on center of each. Fill with desired jelly. Bake 10-12 minutes. Can be made ahead and frozen.
