1 c. shortening
½ c. sugar
½ c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 T. milk
2 ¼ c. flour
½ t. baking soda
½ t. salt
½ c. walnuts, chopped finely
Cream shortening and sugars. Add egg and milk. Beat
well. Stir in dry ingredients, add
nuts, mix well. Shape into a roll,
about 2 ½ inches in diameter. Wrap in
wax paper. Chill. Slice ¼ inch thick. Place 1 inch apart. Bake 375 degrees 5-7 minutes.
