Brownie Cake

 

Sift together:

2 c. flour

2 c. sugar

1 tsp. Baking soda

 

Melt 1 c. margarine over medium low heat.  Add 4 T. cocoa and 1 c. water.  Bring to boil.  Pour over dry ingredients.  Add ½ c. buttermilk, 2 eggs, and 1 t. vanilla, mix well.  Pour into jelly roll pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes.

 

Frosting

 

½ c. margarine

4 T. cocoa

6 T. buttermilk

4 c. powdered sugar

 

Melt margarine, add other 2 ingredients and stir well, making sure all of the lumps have dissolved.  (should only take a couple of minutes) Pour onto cake as soon as its out of the oven.
