Easy Peanut Butter Fudge

 

3 c. sugar

1 12 oz. can evaporated milk

½ c. butter

18 oz. peanut butter

 

Prepare a 10 x 12 pan.  Mix sugar, milk and butter.  Bring to a boil in a medium heavy bottomed pot over medium heat, stirring  constantly.  Then reduce heat to a low boil stirring every 10 minutes until candy starts to thicken.  Test in cold water until firm.  Remove from heat.  Stir in peanut butter and spread in buttered pan.  Allow to cool.  Cut into pieces while warm.
