Shish Kabob

 

Marinade:

 

2 pints oil

1 pint olive oil

12 ozs. Vinegar

2 t. pepper

½ t. marjoram

4 oz. lemon juice

2 T. garlic, crushed

2 T. salt

½ t. thyme

½ t. oregano

 

5 pounds beef, cubed

40 large mushroom caps

salad oil for sauteing

40 pearl onions

40 pieces green pepper

40 pieces of tomato

 

Mix all of the marinade ingredients and pour over the meat.  Marinate for several hours.  Saute mushroom caps, blanch onions and peppers.  Place ingredients on long skewers as follows: tomato, beef, mushroom, onion, beef, pepper, mushroom, beef tomato.  Broil 10 minutes.  Serve on a bed of rice pilaf.
