Standing rib roast
1 onion, cut into chunks
3 cloves garlic, peeled
Place roast into baking pan. Arrange chunks of onion and garlic around roast. Sprinkle roast with garlic powder, onion
salt, pepper. Bake in 350 degree oven,
30 minutes per pound for medium well done.
Onions and garlic will become dark and crispy. When roast is done, place on cutting board. Drain the grease from the pan. Add several cans of beef broth to the pan,
scraping the bottom of the pan loosening the dark crispies in the pan. Place mixture into a saucepan and thicken
for gravy as desired.
