2 T. butter or margarine
¼ c. flour
3 c. milk
4 c. shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
¾ c. shredded parmesan cheese, divided
¾ t. salt
1 t. pepper
16 ounces penne pasta, cooked
Melt butter in dutch oven over medium heat,
whisk in flour until smooth. Gradually
whisk in milk, and cook whisking constantly, 3 minutes or until thickened. Add cheddar cheese, ¼ c. parmesan cheese,
salt, and pepper, whisking until cheese melts.
Add pasta, tossing to coat. Pour
into a lightly greased 13 x 9 baking dish.
Sprinkle with remaining ½ cup parmesan cheese. Bake 350 degrees for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
